Houston Methodist Hospital knew what the problem was but didn’t have the time and/or patience to get it fixed. The hospital had a couple of old T-1 access lines that had not been used for the past 2 years. Even though the lines were not being used, the cost had increased from $500 to $16,927. The IT team noticed the increase and called carrier account team for explanation, with NO answer. As a result, the hospital decided to disconnect. They then attempted to disconnect multiple times, again without resolution.
Overcharge Recovery Group (ORG) utilized their insider knowledge of carrier services and operations plus their tenacity to get the disconnect done, making sure the billing stopped and the hospital received full credit for overpayment.
Client received a $75,000 refund and savings of $240,000 per year.
